Continuous Development for the Formation of a Character-Based Quranic Generation
The Acting Regional Secretary of the Province of North Sumatra, Sulaiman Harahap, emphasized the importance of continuous development for the formation of a superior and character-based Quranic generation.
This development is aimed not only at achieving success, but also at building character, strengthening spirituality, and instilling integrity.

Sulaiman Harahap, also General Chairman of the North Sumatra Quranic Recitation Development Institute (LPTQ), conveyed this message during the opening of the training and selection center for LPTQ ambassadors from North Sumatra in 2026.
The center will be located in the sports hall of the Bureau for Youth and Sports (Dispora) office at Jalan Willem Iskandar, Percut Seituan district, Deliserdang regency. The event lasts a week, through July 16, 2026.
Sulaiman stated that the training center is an important part of the ongoing development process to form the best Quran generation in North Sumatra.
“This aligns with the LPTQ’s commitment to ensuring that training is not limited to the run-up to the MTQ, but continues throughout the year through continuous cadre development,” he said.
He also praised all members of the LPTQ of North Sumatra for their thorough preparation for the event. He stated that the training camp is not only a training ground for winning competitions, but also a platform for character building, mental development, spiritual strengthening, and promoting integrity among the best students from various regions and cities in North Sumatra.
“You have passed the selection procedure in your respective regions. Therefore, make use of this opportunity to continuously learn and improve yourselves, receive feedback from the coaches, and enhance your reading skills, memorization, understanding, and appreciation of the Quran,” he said.
Sulaiman also reminded all participants to take part in the training and all activities with full dedication, to show respect for the coaches, mentors, and committee members, and to foster a spirit of mutual support, so that the competition becomes a means of personal development.
