Bobby Nasution Receives Adinata Syariah Prize
The province of North Sumatra (Sumut) has once again achieved national success with the development of the Islamic economy and finance. For this significant contribution, Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution of North Sumatra received the 2026 Adinata Syariah Prize, underscoring North Sumatra’s commitment to strengthening the national economy.
The prize was presented during the 2026 Adinata Syariah event in Jakarta. North Sumatra won in the halal export value category, out of 14 prize categories awarded to regional governments and stakeholders that proved successful in stimulating the development of the Islamic economy in Indonesia.
Sholahudin Al Aiyub, Executive Director of KNEKS, stated that the Islamic economy and finance are no longer an alternative. On the contrary, they are aimed at becoming a leading source of an inclusive, resilient, and reliable economy.
Sholahudin therefore hopes that this award will provide a boost to strengthening cooperation between the central government, regional authorities, the business community, and all stakeholders in the development of the national Islamic economy.
“We hope that this boost can strengthen the synergy between the central government, regional authorities, the business community, and all stakeholders, and lead to an inclusive, sustainable, and competitive Indonesian Sharia economy,” said Sholahudin.
Adinata Syariah 2026 is a program by CNN Indonesia in collaboration with the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS). This award is presented as a token of appreciation to local governments that demonstrate commitment, innovation, and a concrete contribution to the development of the Sharia economy and finance in Indonesia.

Under the leadership of Bobby Nasution, the provincial government of North Sumatra has placed great emphasis on the development of the Sharia economy.
Bobby previously received the Sharia Investor Province award from the Indonesian Stock Exchange for his contributions to the development of the Sharia capital market.
Moreover, North Sumatra is also known as one of the provinces with the highest consumption of halal products in Indonesia.
Also present at the event were the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Indonesia, Tito Karnavian, the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, and the 13th Vice President, K.H.
