The East Medan Police Detective Team arrested a repeat offender as he was proven to have snatched a motorcycle at Jalan Sentosa Lama, Gang Margo, Sei Kera Hulu I Village, Medan Perjuangan District.
The repeat offender who was arrested was named Zul Armain Siringo-ringo (38), a resident of Medan Perjuangan district. In his modus operandi, the perpetrator took off on a motorcycle and offered his victim a job.

The crime took place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 when the victim with the initials AR met the perpetrator at Jalan Wahidin under the pretext that the perpetrator offered the victim a job.
The victim and the perpetrator then went straight to a place for interrogation on a motorcycle.
When he arrived at the crime scene, the victim was ordered to get out by the perpetrator, after which his motorcycle was taken away.
Unwilling to accept that his motorcycle had been taken, the victim eventually filed a report at the East Medan Police Station.
Subsequently, the staff who received the victim’s report conducted an investigation.

As a result, personnel from the East Medan Police Unit were able to arrest the perpetrator while he was posing as a job applicant at Jalan Sentosa Lama, Medan Perjuangan District, and then brought him to the East Medan Police Station for investigation.
The head of the criminal investigation unit, Inspector Fajri Lubis, confirmed on Tuesday (3/2) the arrest of a repeat offender on a motorcycle who pretended to offer his victim work.

“Based on the investigation, the perpetrator committed the crime four times. During the arrest, evidence of the trousers worn during the commission of the crime of embezzlement, as well as CCTV footage, was seized.” he said.
Fajri revealed that the perpetrator admitted to investigators that he also sold the victim’s motorcycle and used the money to buy crystal methamphetamine and play slot machines.
