Ministry of Manpower Trains 416 Workers in North Maluku
A total of 416 workers in North Maluku have completed the fourth cohort of the National Vocational Training (PVN) program. The training took place at the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) in Ternate and the Vocational and Productivity Training Unit (Satpel PVP) in Sofifi.
The graduates are equipped with the competencies needed to enter the labor market and start their own businesses.

Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor stated that the Ministry of Manpower continues to align training programs with the needs of the business sector and industry. This measure ensures that the competencies taught during the training remain relevant to workforce requirements.
“Today’s training conclusion does not mark the end of the learning process. It is the beginning for participants to apply the competencies they have acquired in practice,” said Afriansyah at the closing ceremony of PVN Batch IV and the opening of the Productivity Improvement Training at BPVP Ternate, North Maluku, on Friday, September 18, 2026.
He noted that the competencies and skills gained through PVN serve as an asset for workers in North Maluku to enter the labor market and boost productivity.
Such readiness is also essential for the local workforce to remain competitive and adapt to technological advancements.
Afriansyah encouraged graduates who have not yet secured immediate employment to utilize their newly acquired skills to identify opportunities and start their own businesses. “We encourage graduates to use these competencies to start their own businesses and create new jobs,” he said.
In addition to the vocational training courses, the Ministry of Labour also organized productivity improvement training at BPVP Ternate. Afriansyah explained that productivity is not just about the speed of work, but also about the ability to deliver high-quality work effectively and efficiently while adding value to the regional economy.
“Participants are expected to be able to identify workplace obstacles and propose solutions and sustainable improvements,” he said.
The closing ceremony for PVN Batch IV at the BPVP (Vocational Training and Workforce Development Center) in Ternate was attended by 176 participants from 11 training programs.
In total, PVN Batch IV—conducted at the BPVP in Ternate and the PVN implementation unit in Sofifi—produced 416 graduates from 26 training programs. ***rel
Kemnaker Bekali 416 Tenaga Kerja Maluku Utara dengan Kompetensi
Sebanyak 416 tenaga kerja di Maluku Utara telah menyelesaikan Pelatihan Vokasi Nasional (PVN) Batch IV yang dilaksanakan di Balai Pelatihan Vokasi dan Produktivitas (BPVP) Ternate dan Satuan Pelayanan Pelatihan Vokasi dan Produktivitas (Satpel PVP) Sofifi.
Para lulusan dibekali kompetensi untuk memasuki dunia kerja maupun mengembangkan usaha secara mandiri.
Wakil Menteri Ketenagakerjaan (Wamenaker) Afriansyah Noor mengatakan Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan (Kemnaker) terus mendorong penyelarasan program pelatihan dengan kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI). Langkah ini dilakukan agar kompetensi yang diberikan melalui pelatihan relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja.
“Penutupan pelatihan hari ini bukan berarti berakhirnya proses belajar. Ini adalah awal bagi para peserta untuk menerapkan kompetensi yang telah diperoleh di dunia nyata,” ujar Afriansyah saat menutup PVN Batch IV sekaligus membuka Pelatihan Peningkatan Produktivitas di BPVP Ternate, Maluku Utara, Jumat, 18 September 2026.
Ia mengatakan, kompetensi dan keterampilan yang diperoleh melalui PVN menjadi modal bagi tenaga kerja di Maluku Utara untuk memasuki dunia kerja dan meningkatkan produktivitas.
Kesiapan tersebut juga diperlukan agar tenaga kerja lokal memiliki daya saing dan mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi.
Bagi lulusan yang belum langsung terserap di pasar kerja, Afriansyah mendorong mereka memanfaatkan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh untuk melihat peluang dan mengembangkan usaha mandiri.
“Kami mengimbau para lulusan untuk memanfaatkan kompetensi tersebut dalam mengembangkan usaha mandiri dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru,” katanya.
Selain pelatihan vokasi, Kemnaker juga menggelar Pelatihan Peningkatan Produktivitas di BPVP Ternate. Afriansyah mengatakan produktivitas tidak sekadar berkaitan dengan kecepatan bekerja, tetapi juga kemampuan menghasilkan keluaran secara efektif, efisien, dan berkualitas serta memberikan nilai tambah bagi perekonomian daerah.
“Para peserta diharapkan mampu mengidentifikasi hambatan di tempat kerja dan menghadirkan solusi serta perbaikan yang berkelanjutan,” ujarnya.
Penutupan PVN Batch IV di BPVP Ternate diikuti 176 peserta dari 11 paket pelatihan. Secara keseluruhan, PVN Batch IV yang dilaksanakan di BPVP Ternate dan Satpel PVP Sofifi menghasilkan 416 lulusan dari 26 paket pelatihan. ***rel
