The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi is auctioning 24 seized state assets valued at 4.5 billion Indonesian rupiah, with heavy machinery and nickel ore being the primary items
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi held a simultaneous auction of seized goods and assets obtained through criminal offenses for which legal judgments have become final and binding. The auction took place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kendari.
Under the theme “Synergy in Selecting Assets for the Nation,” the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi conducted a simultaneous auction of seized state assets, with eight district-level public prosecutor’s offices acting as auction organizers, generating a total of 4,568,349,000 Indonesian rupiah.
The auction was attended by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Himawan Bayu Aji; the Chief Judge of the High Court of Southeast Sulawesi, Andi Isna Renishwari Cinrapole; and representatives from the regional office (Kanwil) of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN), represented by the Head of the State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), Panca Putra Jaya.
The Head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi, Sugeng Riyanta, stated that the seized state assets being auctioned had undergone a series of legal procedures before being designated for the auction. These procedures encompass investigation, confiscation, the tracing of assets, and the presentation of evidence in court.
“These cases are complex, involving both general and specific offenses. The process begins with investigations conducted by fellow investigators under the supervision of the regional police chief, followed by the seizure and tracing of assets, and subsequently, coordination to strengthen the evidence. We received the cases, investigated them, requested that the assets be seized by the state, and assured the court that we had conducted a thorough investigation, leading to the state’s seizure of these assets,” he stated.
He explained that the auction would be carried out by the State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL). All standard operating procedures (SOPs) for such auctions are governed by the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN).

He emphasized that law enforcement must have a tangible impact, particularly regarding economically motivated crimes, such as corruption and offenses within the natural resources sector.
“The focus is no longer solely on identifying and punishing suspects; the most critical aspect is how the proceeds of crime can be recovered for the state,” he said.
According to data presented during the event, the total proceeds from the auction of 24 state-seized assets—linked to 17 separate police reports—amounted to 4,568,349,000 Indonesian rupiah.
The seized items auctioned off included a variety of assets, ranging from heavy machinery, nickel ore, and four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, to land. The heavy equipment category had a maximum value of 1.86 billion rupiah, comprising six items: excavators, dump trucks, articulated dump trucks (ADTs), and graders.
The six nickel ore items had a maximum value of 1.72 billion rupiah. These items originated from mining operations.
In the four-wheeled vehicle category, there were five items with a maximum value of 775.2 million rupiah. The vehicles up for auction included a tanker truck, a Gran Max, a Terios, an APV, and an Ayla.
The two-wheeled vehicle category includes five items with a maximum value of 28.6 million Indonesian rupiah, such as a CBR, a Scoopy, a Vixion, and other motorcycles.
Additionally, there is one plot of land with a maximum value of 178.6 million Indonesian rupiah, as noted in the presentation data. Heavy equipment and nickel ore dominated the auction value, accounting for 78.5 percent of the total value.
The execution of this auction of seized state assets is part of an effort to process evidence from legal cases through auction mechanisms, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Collaboration among all parties is crucial for the professional, transparent, and accountable handling of seized state assets.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi will continue to oversee all stages of the handling of seized assets—including the follow-up on any unsold items—to ensure that asset recovery and contributions to state revenue are optimized in a sustainable manner. ***adh
