The Ministry of Labour ensures that labour sector officials possess the right competencies
The Ministry of Labour (Kemnaker) is modernizing the training system for labour sector officials to improve the quality of service to the public. Through a competency-based curriculum, training is now more adaptive, effective, and better aligned with the needs of the labour market, thereby training increasingly professional personnel for labour service provision.
Secretary General Cris Kuntadi of the Ministry of Labour stated that this transformation of the training system is a strategic step to ensure that labour sector officials possess the competencies relevant to the needs of public service and developments in the labour market.

These officials include labour inspectors, instructors, employment mediators, job coaches, and occupational safety and health (K3) medical examiners.
“Functional officers of the Ministry of Personnel are on the front line of public service. The quality of service in the areas of supervision, employment mediation, vocational training, and safety regulations is largely determined by their competence,” stated Cris during the virtual opening of the Socialization Meeting for the Training of Functional.
This transformation is also part of the development of the Ministry of Labor’s Corporate University, a learning system for the competence development of employees.
This step is crucial to meet the high demand for competence development, as evidenced by the approximately 2,600 participants proposed for the training courses from various ministries, institutions, and local authorities.
