Ramadan Market with Affordable Prices, Organized by the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office
The Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, Bangka Belitung Province, organized a market with affordable prices on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the fish stall roundabout in Koba, Central Bangka.
This market aims to meet the community’s basic needs during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447.
In addition, the market aims to help the community obtain basic necessities at affordable prices.
This affordable market was organized in collaboration between the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives (Disperindagkop) of the Central Bangka District Government.
The event was attended by several regional officials, members of the Central Bangka Regional Communications Forum, and Central Bangka Regent Algafry Rahman.
Food price increases are common during Ramadan
The head of the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, Abvianto Syaifulloh, stated that price increases for basic necessities typically occur during the fasting month of Ramadan and in the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr.
This leads to a decrease in people’s purchasing power. “Therefore, we consider it necessary to help people increase their purchasing power by organizing this affordable market,” he said.
“This low-cost market, an initiative of the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, aims to help residents meet their basic food needs and increase their purchasing power, thereby stimulating economic activity in the community. Various basic necessities, including rice, cooking oil, eggs, and other essentials, will be sold at this market,” said Abvianto Syaifulloh, head of the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, on Friday, February 27, 2026.
Low-cost market helps the community with affordable prices
Abvianto Syaifulloh, head of the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, explained that this low-cost market is also intended to anticipate an increase in the population’s purchasing power due to price increases for various basic necessities, particularly during Ramadan and in the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr this year.
“We hope that this low-cost market can help people obtain basic necessities at affordable prices. The Public Prosecutor’s Office also plays an active role in combating regional inflation through legal aid,” he said.
Cooperation between the Central Bangka Government and the Public Prosecutor’s Office
Central Bangka Governor Algafry Rahman expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the Central Bangka Government and the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office.
“Yes, I greatly appreciate the cooperation between the regional government and the Central Bangka Public Prosecutor’s Office, with the support of the Central Bangka Police. People can shop comfortably, safely, and quickly, and of course, at low prices,” said Governor Algafry Rahman.
The opening of the cheap market went smoothly. After the official opening, people immediately flocked to the stalls selling various basic necessities. They patiently waited their turn to buy their groceries at low prices. ***adh
