Leading up to Eid al-Fitr, PT Supra Matra Abadi distributes 4,500 liters of cooking oil via a bazaar
As Eid al-Fitr approaches, the population’s need for basic necessities typically increases. To help communities obtain affordable cooking oil, Asian Agri, through its subsidiary PT Supra Matra Abadi (PT SMA), is once again organizing a Premium Cooking Oil Bazaar at Affordable Prices in three districts in North Sumatra on March 16 and 17, 2026.
This year, PT SMA distributed 4,500 liters of cooking oil to communities in 16 villages across three districts surrounding the company’s operating area.
The distribution covered the Batu Bara district with the plantation villages of Tanah Datar and Sei Muka; the Labuhanbatu district with villages S1, S2, S3, and S4; the villages of Perbaungan, Pematang Seleng, N5, and N6 Aek Nabara; and the South Labuhanbatu district with the villages of Rintis, Sukadame, and Ulumahuam, as well as the plantation villages of Teluk Panji, Teluk Panji, and Sei Kalam.

Herman Sembiring, Regional Director of Asian Agri North Sumatra, explained that this cooking oil bazaar is an annual event of the company and is part of ongoing efforts to directly support the surrounding community.
“With this activity, we want to help people obtain basic necessities at affordable prices in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr. This is part of Asian Agri’s commitment to implementing the 5C principles – Good for the Community, Good for the Country, Good for the Climate, Good for the Customer, and Good for the Company – by making a contribution that is directly felt by the community,” said Sembiring.
Asian Agri distributes 6,000 liters of cooking oil at affordable prices
In total, Asian Agri has distributed approximately 6,000 liters of cooking oil to communities in 20 villages surrounding the company’s operating area in the province of North Sumatra. Through this bazaar, residents can purchase Camar brand cooking oil, with a maximum of two liters per person to ensure fair distribution.
This initiative also received support from the local government as part of a joint effort to ensure the affordability of basic food prices, particularly in the run-up to the holidays.
Affordable premium cooking oil bazaar
Fauzi Hutagalung, Head of the Trade and Industry Department of the South Labuhanbatu District, explained that the district government is committed to ensuring that the population has access to basic necessities at affordable prices, so that they can celebrate more comfortably and peacefully.
“We want to ensure that the population can meet their basic needs at affordable prices in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr. This affordable Ramadan bazaar is one of our joint efforts to support this, in collaboration with PT SMA, among others,” said Fauzi. Through the Affordable Premium Cooking Oil Bazaar, which was held in three provinces, Asian Agri distributed approximately 30,000 liters of cooking oil to communities in 100 villages surrounding the company’s operating areas in North Sumatra, Riau, and Jambi. ***obs
