Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution of North Sumatra hopes that the allocation of the Regional Transfer Fund (TKD) for North Sumatra in 2027 will not decrease and will remain equal to the amount repaid by the central government in 2026.
Bobby expressed this hope during the opening of the coordination meeting for monitoring and supporting the use of additional TKD funds in the Raja Inal Siregar Hall of the Governor’s office on Jalan Diponegoro in Medan.

According to him, the consequences of the disasters that occurred in 2025 are still being felt by the community, particularly by the economy in the affected areas. “We hope that the TKD for disaster areas in 2027 will be equal to that of 2026. We hope that the TKD in 2027 will be the same as in 2026, when the TKD was repaid,” said Bobby.
Bobby explained that the central government has repaid approximately 6 trillion Indonesian rupiah in TKD allocations for North Sumatra. Of this amount, the provincial government of North Sumatra received approximately 1.1 trillion rupiah, which will be used to support rehabilitation programs in disaster areas.
“We are committed to the Regional Development Assistance (TKD) provided and we are prepared to monitor its implementation, both now and in the future,” he said.
Bobby also reminded the district and municipal administrations to ensure that the additional budget is used for programs that have a direct impact on communities in disaster areas, both through physical development and non-physical programs.

Furthermore, he urged all district and city administrations in North Sumatra to continue strengthening cooperation to accelerate the recovery of the disaster-affected areas. He stated that the provincial government of North Sumatra is willing to create synergy so that the accelerated development directly benefits the community.
Meanwhile, Agus Fatoni, Director General of Regional Financial Development at the Ministry of the Interior, stated that the government has increased the allocation of Regional Development Assistance (TKD) by 10.68 trillion Indonesian rupees (IDR) for the three disaster-affected provinces. The distribution is as follows: IDR 6.35 trillion for North Sumatra, IDR 1.65 trillion for Aceh, and IDR 2.63 trillion for West Sumatra.
Fatoni expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the regional administrators who adjusted the 2026 Regional Budget (APBD) via the Regional Administrative Regulations (Perkada) to allocate additional TKD funds.
He hopes that the budget will be disbursed quickly so that the community can experience the benefits immediately.
