Young man from Jalan Gunung Arjuna, Tebingtinggi, arrested by police during methamphetamine deal
Officers from the Tebingtinggi police narcotics squad arrested a man, identified as SA (30), residing on Jalan Gunung Arjuna, Mekar Sentosa Village, Tebingtinggi City.
SA was arrested after he conducted a roadside methamphetamine deal involving 1.38 grams, not far from his home.
Police Find Evidence Hidden by Suspect
AKP Police Narcotics Unit Chief Jimmy R. Sitorus told reporters that SA was arrested on Tuesday (January 27) around 1:30 a.m. West Indonesia Time along Jalan Gunung Arjuna in Mekar Sentosa Village, Tebingtinggi.
“During the arrest, officers found two transparent plastic bags containing a total of 1.38 grams of methamphetamine,” AKP Jimmy said on Wednesday (February 4).
The case came to light following information from citizens reporting drug deals at the location.
The suspect confessed to drug possession and was taken to the Tebingtinggi Police Station.
Following this information, the Tebingtinggi Police Narcotics Unit conducted a series of investigations and on-site surveillance.
“During the initial interrogation, the suspect admitted that the drugs were his and that he had received them from someone else,” Jimmy explained.
“The perpetrator and the evidence are currently in the custody of the Tebingtinggi police’s drug enforcement unit for further investigation,” he concluded.***
