Vocational Training in Cirebon 2026: 32 Vocational Courses, Training Allowances, and BPJS Coverage for Participants
On Friday, November 6, 2026, Minister of Manpower Yassierli inaugurated the 2026 National Vocational Training program for the Cirebon region. The program, held at the Cirebon Regency Hall in West Java, involved 2,000 participants.
The participants included job seekers, individuals with disabilities, and workers who had lost their jobs. They took part in the training to enhance their skills and prepare for entry into the labor market or to start their own businesses.
Throughout the program, participants received a training allowance, lunch, and BPJS social security coverage—including work-related accident insurance (JKK) and life insurance (JKM)—as well as guidance from instructors and access to training facilities.
Yassierli stated that these vocational training programs are a government initiative designed to provide the public with opportunities to acquire skills—at no cost—that are aligned with the needs of the labor market.
“Make the most of this opportunity. Ensure that you, along with your friends and younger colleagues participating in this training, truly master the necessary skills by the end of the program. God willing, you will all be better equipped to achieve greater success in the future,” said Yassierli.
The Ministry of Manpower aims to have 340,000 participants take part in the national vocational training programs by 2026. In Cirebon Regency, training is conducted in collaboration with local governments, training centers, and partner institutions through various programs.

These include Tailor-Made Training (TMT), initiatives supported by the private sector, programs facilitated by Community Job Training Centers (BLKK), and training provided via the Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) and the Vocational Training Center (BLK) of Cirebon Regency.
Among the training participants are 20 laid-off workers—supported by the Cirebon City Manpower Office—and 50 individuals with disabilities who are participating in entrepreneurship training.
A total of 32 vocational training courses are available, covering fields such as garment sewing, residential air conditioning repair, baking, automotive repair, and hospitality. Several of these programs also equip participants with the skills to start their own businesses.
According to Yassierli, vocational training not only provides employment opportunities but also fosters the emergence of new entrepreneurs capable of creating jobs. He cited the example of a graduate from an air conditioning repair course in Medan who now runs a business with 18 employees.
“This demonstrates that, after completing the training, participants can not only find employment but also create jobs for others. Furthermore, every region possesses unique potential and needs that can be transformed into business opportunities,” he stated.
Yassierli also emphasized that every citizen—including those with disabilities—is entitled to equal opportunities for employment and a decent livelihood. “Whoever they may be, regardless of their circumstances—from Sabang to Merauke, including our friends with disabilities—everyone deserves the same opportunities. Do not be afraid to compete,” stated Yassierli. ***rel

Jangan takut bersaing,” kata Yassierli. ***rel
