Two Motorcycle Thieves Arrested by Police
Officers from the Tanjung Morawa police department have arrested two young men suspected of motorcycle theft. Both suspects are currently in custody pending further investigation.
Information gathered on Monday (March 9, 2026) indicates that the two suspects in the motorcycle theft are Randi Ramadhan Lubis (22) and Ganesa (19), residents of Pasar 13, Hamlet III, Limau Manis Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency.
Suspects Steal Victim’s Motorcycle from the Porch
Police arrested the two men based on a complaint filed by Fauzan Ramadan, a resident of Jalan Sentosa Lama, Medan Perjuangan District. Ramadan is the owner of a Honda Supra motorcycle that was stolen by the two suspects on Jalan Medan Lubuk Pakam, KM 21, Dusun III, Tanjung Baru Village, Tanjung Morawa District, on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The victim was reportedly on his way to work and retrieved his motorcycle from the porch.
As soon as the victim entered the house, he saw the two suspects pushing the motorcycle. This was noticed by the victim’s friend, Vina Elvira, who heard the sound of a helmet falling.
A witness shouted that there was a thief, and the victim immediately ran after the perpetrators, but the two perpetrators managed to escape.
The victim filed a police report with the Tanjung Morawa police.
Tanjung Morawa Police Chief Jonni H. Damanik stated that after receiving the report, his team conducted an investigation until the victim’s whereabouts were determined. The first arrest involved Randi Ramadhan, who was located in Hamlet IX, Bangun Sari Baru Village, Tanjung Morawa District.
Suspect Randi was arrested and questioned about the whereabouts of his accomplice, Ganesa. The second suspect was also arrested on Jalan Sei Belumei Hulu, Hamlet I, Tanjung Morawa A Village.
“Both suspects are currently under investigation,” the police chief concluded.***
