Tiorita Surbakti appointed Acting Regent of Langkat; Governor of North Sumatra insists on integrity of officials
The Vice-Regent of Langkat, Tiorita Surbakti, has officially received a decree (SK) appointing her as Acting Regent of Langkat. The decree was handed directly by the Governor of North Sumatra (Sumut), Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, at the office of the Governor of North Sumatra at Jalan Diponegoro No. 30 in Medan.
Tiorita’s appointment as Acting Regent of Langkat follows intensive coordination between the Provincial Government of North Sumatra (Pemprov) and the Ministry of the Interior (Kemendagri).

After the completion of this coordination process, the Governor of North Sumatra was requested to submit the decree immediately to ensure the normal functioning of the administration in the Langkat Regency.
“We have been asked to implement this immediately to ensure the smooth functioning of the government. We have submitted the decree whereby the Deputy Regent becomes Acting Regent,” said Governor Bobby Nasution after the delivery of the decree.
On that occasion, Bobby Tiorita also reminded everyone to safeguard the integrity of civil servants (ASN) within the government of the Langkat Regency. According to him, civil servants must perform their duties as public officials professionally.

“Do not leave civil servants faced with two choices: serving the public or serving their leaders. That must not happen,” said Bobby.
In response to this directive, Tiorita Surbakti indicated that she is prepared to carry out her mandate as Acting Regent of Langkat with full responsibility. She also promised to urge all regional government agencies (OPD) within the government of the Langkat Regency to act with consistent integrity and to improve service delivery to the public.
