The Ministry of Manpower and Ubhara Jaya agree to work together to prepare competent and job-ready human resources
The Ministry of Labor (Kemnaker) and Bhayangkara University, Greater Jakarta (Ubhara Jaya) have agreed to collaborate in preparing competent, adaptive and competitive human resources (HR) based on the needs of the sector.
This agreement was expressed by the signing of a Joint Understanding (MoU) in Bekasi, West Java, Friday, June 19, 2026.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor Cris Kuntadi emphasized that this collaboration is not just a ceremonial activity, but rather an important momentum to strengthen the synergy between academia and the world of labor practice.
“This is not just a ceremony. This is a momentum to strengthen the synergy between academia and the world of employment practice. One of the main objectives is to minimize the discrepancy between the competencies of graduates and the needs of the industrial world,” said Cris.
According to him, universities play an important role in preparing talents ready to enter the job market, developing innovation through research and making contributions to society.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor plays a role in ensuring the implementation of a productive, inclusive and sustainable employment ecosystem.

Through this collaboration, the Ministry of Labor and Ubhara Jaya will create synergy in developing human resource capacity, conducting joint research, community service and utilizing facilities and infrastructure to support the strengthening of the national employment ecosystem.
Cris explained that the Ministry of Labor has several programs that can support students in preparing to transition from the educational world to the working world.
These programs include the National Internship of MagangHub, which provides real work experience and portfolio, KarirHub, which provides curated job information, SkillHub, which provides certified training for improving and developing competencies (upskilling and reskilling), and BizHub for graduates who want to develop entrepreneurship.
“All these services can be accessed through the SIAPKerja platform. We also have a student development program to be better prepared for the job market. Students can get an idea of the real conditions of the working world, starting from the application process, professional communication and job interviews,” he said.

He encouraged students, especially those in their final semester, to take advantage of various government programs and services to enhance their readiness to enter the job market.
Furthermore, Cris emphasized that today’s employment challenges are becoming increasingly complex as labor competition takes place not only at local and national levels, but also globally.
“We must prepare competent, adaptive and competitive human resources. Our competition is not only in Bekasi or Indonesia, but also in workers from different countries. Therefore, we must have superior talents who are really ready to work and able to compete at the global level,” he stressed.
Cris hopes that this collaboration can bring about various collaborative programs that will bring real benefits, such as increasing competence in human resources, strengthening studies and research in the field of employment, implementing community service through the Mandiri Mandiri program, strengthening the relations between the world of education and the world of work, as well as strengthening employment policies based on data and study results as a basis for decision-making. ***rel
