The Bogor Public Prosecutor’s Office receives restitution for alleged corruption at the North Bogor District Hospital

The Public Prosecution Service of Bogor Regency District, West Java, received reimbursement of financial losses from the state amounting to IDR 1.117 billion in an investigation into alleged criminal acts of corruption for the North Bogor Regional Hospital construction project in Cibinong, Friday, June 19, 2026.

However, the special investigators of the Bogor Public Prosecutor’s Office have not yet named a suspect as they are still investigating the construction of the case and the role of each party.

Head of the Bogor Regency District Public Prosecution Denny Ahmad said that the value of state losses in the project, based on the audit results of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), amounted to IDR 9.179 billion.

“Today, the investigation team has received a refund of Rp. 1,117,013,000 from Construction Management’s supervisory consultant. The money has been seized and will be deposited into the prosecutor’s official account as evidence in this case,” Denny Ahmad said.

According to Denny, the return of PT Daya Cipta Dianrancana came as project supervisor consultant. This value is part of the state loss of IDR 1.117 billion charged to the company based on the audit results.

Meanwhile, the largest state loss, i.e. IDR 8.062 billion, would come from the execution of works by the project contractor.

Denny emphasized that repaying state losses does not necessarily remove the criminal element in corruption cases. Investigators are continuing the legal process to identify the responsible party.

“Looking at Article 4 of the Corruption Crime Law, it is clear that returning financial losses to the state does not erase the crime,” he said.

So far, the investigation team has interviewed 61 witnesses and five experts. A number of project documents are still being collected and analyzed to strengthen the evidence base.

Denny said the study not only highlighted the work implementation phase, but also mapped out the entire project procurement process from the beginning of planning.

“Because this problem is not only in the implementation phase. We trace it from identifying needs, planning, preparing the tender, selecting suppliers, implementing work to handing over the work,” he said.

According to him, the large number of witnesses being interviewed is in line with the investigator’s aim to fully map out the structure of the case and determine which parties should actually be held criminally liable.

“We don’t want to rush into naming a suspect before we fully know how the case works and who is really responsible,” Denny said.

On that occasion, Denny also confirmed that the investigation team had not encountered any political interference or pressure from certain parties during the investigation process.

“To date, the investigation team has not found any political intervention in the handling of this case,” he said.

The Bogor Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that it would continue to optimize efforts to recover state losses while providing evidence before taking further legal action, including identifying a suspect.

The alleged corruption case in the construction of the North Bogor Regional Hospital started with a hospital construction project worth IDR 93 billion, which was financed with financial support from the provincial APBD of West Java for the 2021 fiscal year.

The project, located in Parung district, was supposed to be completed in December 2021 but was only completed about six months later in mid-2022.

During the investigation, investigators discovered allegations of budget increases, reductions in work volume and construction quality that did not meet specifications. State losses based on the BPKP audit reached IDR 9.179 billion. ***adh
