Motorcycle thief assaulted and injured by residents, unconscious
A young man was assaulted and injured after allegedly stealing a motorcycle on TB Simatupang Street in Medan Sunggal district.
The alleged perpetrator was found unconscious in a ditch, according to video footage.
Suspected motorcycle thief unconscious and taken to hospital in Bayangkara
Officers from the Medan Sunggal police received a report of a suspected motorcycle thief who had been assaulted and injured by residents. They arrived at the scene and arrested the man.
He was subsequently taken to hospital in Bayangkara, Medan, for medical treatment.
Medan Sunggal police chief, Commissioner Yunus Tarigan, confirmed the incident.
However, investigators have not yet been able to identify the perpetrator because he is unconscious.
“It is suspected that this young man stole a motorcycle. Detectives are still investigating,” he said briefly.***
