During the mediation, which was attended by the union and the company’s management, the Deputy Minister of Labor encouraged both parties to prioritize dialogue to reach a solution that is best for all parties.
During the mediation, the management of PT AII offered the employees higher compensation. This offer was one of the points discussed in an attempt to reach an agreement between both parties.
“Previously, the company offered to increase the calculation of employees’ rights from 0.5 to 100% relative to the applicable provisions. I request that you carefully consider this offer, ladies and gentlemen,” said the Deputy Minister of Labour.
The Deputy Minister of Labour urged the 133 employees affected by the layoffs to carefully consider the company’s offer. He explained that if no agreement can be reached, the dispute can be resolved through labour law mechanisms in accordance with statutory provisions.
