The cooperation was ratified with the signing of a joint agreement by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labor, Cris Kuntadi, and the Director of PT Prima Karya Sarana Sejahtera (PKSS), Sadmiadi, in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
Secretary-General Cris Kuntadi of the Ministry of Labor emphasized that synergy between the government and the business community is necessary for the effective placement of employees and direct benefits for the community.
He stated that the needs of companies must align with the skills of potential employees from the very beginning. “We want this collaboration not to stop at the recruitment process, but also to ensure that job seekers possess competencies that align with the needs of the business community. In this way, an intersection is created between the needs of companies and the employability of the workforce,” said Cris.
According to Cris, the collaboration between PKSS and the Job Market Center (Pasker) of the Ministry of Labor has received a positive response. This is evident from the public’s enthusiasm for participating in the ‘walking interviews,’ which bring companies into direct contact with candidates.

“The public’s enthusiasm for every ‘walking interview’ demonstrates that job seekers have a need for access to information and a transparent recruitment process. This also shows the public’s trust in the labor market services facilitated by the government and business partners,” he said.
Cris continued that public trust must be accompanied by transparent and responsible recruitment management.
Information regarding vacancies and selection procedures must be communicated accurately to prevent the public from becoming victims of fraud. He also warned the public to be wary of individuals posing as civil servants or institutions of the Ministry of Labor.
“If someone claiming to be from the Ministry of Labor asks for money during the application or internship procedure, the public should be on their guard. The official procedure does not require any form of compensation,” said Cris.

In addition to increasing access to jobs, the agreement with the PKSS is also aimed at addressing the skills gap that prevents some potential employees from meeting company requirements.
For those who do not meet the initial requirements, the Ministry of Labor can facilitate competence improvement through vocational training at the Centers for Vocational and Productivity Training (BPVP) in various regions.
“We do not want job seekers who do not pass the selection procedure to simply give up. They must be given the opportunity to improve their competencies so that they have a greater chance of being hired next time,” said Cris. This training covers not only technical skills but also preparation for the selection process, including drafting a professional CV and practicing job interviews.
With this training, participants are expected to understand the needs of companies, better convey their competencies, and increase their readiness for the labor market. ***rel
***rel
