In his speech, Minister Yassierli emphasized the importance of an accelerated implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) standards in Indonesia. The arrival of the newly installed senior officials is expected to bring about a significant transformation in the development of K3 standards and work standards.
“We want the implementation of a K3 management system and a K3 culture in Indonesia to flourish. A simple sign of this is a decrease in the number of workplace accidents and occupational diseases,” stated Yassierli. He also requested key officials to reinforce the team led by the Directorate General for Labor Inspection and Occupational Safety and Health (Binwasnaker & K3).
In the presence of all civil servants, the Minister of Labor issued a stern warning regarding the oath of office. He stated that he would not hesitate to take legal or administrative measures if civil servants were suspected of violating it.

“My message to all civil servants of the Ministry of Labor, not just the newly appointed, is to uphold the oath of office and the promise that serve as a guideline for continuous evaluation. I repeat: there is nothing to lose. We will not hesitate to dismiss anyone if there are indications,” the Minister of Labor emphasized.
This step, according to Yassierli, is part of the transformation of the Ministry of Labor in support of the President’s important efforts to build a healthy, ethical, and responsible bureaucracy. The Minister of Labor emphasized to the Department of Administration (TU) the importance of good, transparent, and responsible governance to improve the indicators for bureaucratic reforms, the Public Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP), and the integrity zone.
The Minister of Labor encouraged all employees to contribute to the reputation of the agency, so that it becomes an attractive workplace for growth.
“We are here and growing, benefiting from this, and can offer many advantages by being here,” he said.
