Dismissal conflict at PT Amos Indah Indonesia peacefully resolved
The Ministry of Labor (Kemnaker) and the Labor Inspectorate of the Indonesian National Police have successfully mediated in a dismissal conflict between PT Amos Indah Indonesia and 134 former employees.
After a series of mediation sessions, both parties ultimately reached an amicable settlement to resolve the conflict.

This success was announced by the Deputy Minister of Labor, Afriansyah Noor, during an event titled “Mediation in labor disputes between PT Amos Indah Indonesia and 134 former employees of PT Amos Indah Indonesia” in Jakarta.
Afriansyah stated that the successful mediation was the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Labor Inspectorate of the Indonesian National Police. He emphasized that synergy between both parties is crucial for a quick resolution of various labor disputes.
“About three weeks ago, the police chief asked us to resolve this problem within a month. Thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Personnel Department of the National Police, the company’s management and the former employees ultimately reached an agreement within three weeks,” said Afriansyah.
He explained that the conflict stemmed from the dismissal of a number of employees in March 2026. The union subsequently filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labor, as it believed the dismissal procedure was unfair.

Following the complaint, the Ministry of Labor, together with the Personnel Department of the National Police, facilitated various mediation sessions until an agreement was reached.
Based on the mediation, the parties agreed that the dismissal of 134 employees would remain in effect. However, the company also agreed to respect the employees’ rights through severance payments totaling approximately 12.7 billion Indonesian rupees, the amount of which is adjusted based on each employee’s years of service.
Afriansyah hopes that cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Labor Department of the National Police will be further strengthened, so that more labor disputes can be resolved through dialogue and mediation.
The head of the Labor Department of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Mohammad Irhammi, stated that the success of this mediation is a concrete implementation of the presidential policy Asta Cita to improve the well-being of Indonesian workers.
