Bobby Nasution brings new energy to the community of Nias
The Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, returned to the Nias Islands with a number of development plans.
During this visit, Bobby focused on the North Nias district and introduced various development programs that were enthusiastically received by the community.

One of the implemented programs was the construction of the 4-kilometer-long Tuhemberua-Lotu road and the 2.5-kilometer-long Lotu-Lahewa road.
27 billion Indonesian rupees were budgeted for the Tuhemberua-Lotu road, while 17 billion Indonesian rupees were reserved for the Lotu-Lahewa road.
Inania Gea, a resident of the Lotu district, expressed her gratitude that the road in front of her house had finally been repaired.
According to her, the road had been severely damaged for years and was regularly flooded, making it difficult for residents to travel. She considered the repair of the road crucial, as it serves as the main access road for the community of North Nias.

“Thank you, Mr. Governor, for repairing our road. This road had been damaged for years,” said Inania in her home in the Lotu district, in the North Nias region.
Another resident, Jehan Gea, shared this opinion. He said that the road is of vital importance to the economy and the mobility of the residents of North Nias.
He also admitted that this was the first time he had experienced so much attention from a governor for the island of Nias.
“We thank you, Mr. Governor. This is the first time a governor has an office on the island of Nias. This is historic, and we rightly call you the father of development in North Sumatra,” said Jehan.

During his greeting to the community in Lotu, Governor Bobby Nasution encouraged all residents to continue supporting the development programs of the North Sumatra Provincial Government. He also asked the community to help with the maintenance of all built facilities so that their benefits would be noticeable in the long term.
“We cannot work alone without everyone’s help. So if something has been done, take good care of it,” said Bobby.
In addition to inspecting road construction, Bobby also received direct input from the community. Various proposals included the development of drainage, irrigation assistance, the construction of additional roads, and the building of a mosque.
