2026 North Sumatra KORPRI MTQ: Impulse for training civil servants with integrity and noble morals
The provincial Quran recitation competition (MTQ) of the Indonesian Civil Service Corps (KORPRI) in North Sumatra has officially concluded. This activity served as an impetus for strengthening the spiritual and character development of civil servants (ASN) to promote integrity and noble morals.
This was announced by the Acting Regional Secretary of the Province of North Sumatra, Sulaiman Harahap, during the closing of the North Sumatra KORPRI MTQ in the hall of the North Sumatra Youth and Sports Bureau at Jalan Pancing, Deliserdang.

According to Sulaiman, the MTQ is not just a Quran recitation competition, but a development tool that plays a strategic role in the development of civil servants who are not only intellectually superior, but also possess a strong spiritual foundation. He emphasized the importance for every state apparatus to focus not only on work competence but also on developing sound moral values in the execution of their duties and responsibilities.
“The values contained in the Quran must be applied in daily life. Therefore, the KORPRI MTQ (Qualifying Quran Recitation Competition) plays a strategic role in ensuring that civil servants are not only intellectually intelligent but also spiritually rich, thereby producing officials of integrity,” said Sulaiman.
During the meeting, Sulaiman also expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the winners. He indicated that their achievements should motivate them to continuously improve themselves and deepen their understanding of the values of the Quran.

He also announced that the winners of the North Sumatra KORPRI MTQ will represent North Sumatra at the national KORPRI MTQ, which will take place in Makassar from August 23 to 28, 2026. Sulaiman advised the participants who had not won not to be discouraged and to continue using the Quran as a guide for their lives.
“True success does not lie in winning a championship. It lies in our dedication to spreading the values of the Quran and putting them into practice in our daily lives,” he said.
