On the first day of his visit, Bobby Nasution received the Banua Niha Keriso Protestan (BNKP) at his temporary residence in Gunungsitoli.

During the meeting, the governor listened to the various wishes of the BNKP and outlined three thematic development priorities for the Nias Islands.

“The Provincial Government of North Sumatra has outlined our program for the next five years, led by Mr. Surya and myself. We have divided Nias into three thematic development areas,” stated Bobby.

The three development priorities include the development of economic centers in Gunungsitoli City, agricultural centers in the West Nias district, and the strengthening of the tourism sector in the South Nias district.

“Therefore, we will build and develop in the future. If there are agricultural areas in North Nias, we will support them,” he said.

On that occasion, Bobby also expressed his appreciation for the support of the National Council for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (BNKP) to various programs of the North Sumatra Provincial Government, particularly the support for development on the Nias Islands.

“We are very grateful to Mr. Ephorus, because we know that the BNKP has supported us tirelessly,” said Bobby.

Meanwhile, BNKP Ephorus Ritter Dachi emphasized the BNKP’s commitment to continue supporting the North Sumatra Provincial Government’s development programs on the Nias Islands. “And we continue to support the provincial government’s programs. Naturally, we support them as a church on the Nias Islands,” said Ritter Dachi.

“We have decided to hold the synod on the island of Tello, and we hope for support for this event,” he said.
