Students from North Sumatra and Aceh Receive Telkomsel Scholarships
Telkomsel successfully launched Telkomsel Edupreneur Youth (TEY), a scholarship program aimed at high-achieving high school students. The program, which ran from November 2025 through May 2026, attracted 40 participants from 38 schools in North Sumatra and Aceh.
The winners of the TEY program were announced during a press conference in Graha Merah Putih Medan on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Six students were selected as winners of the TEY program: Syeka Seni Mahirza (Banda Aceh), Fahri Musyafa (Medan), Nisa Chairani Nasution (Binjai), Arion Praditya Tanjung (Padang Sidempuan), Kezia Aura Nafiza (Pematang Siantar), and Jevrin Praim Mercy Zega (Rantau Prapat). All six students were admitted to their dream state universities.
Agung E. Setyobudi, General Manager of Telkomsel’s Consumer Business Region for North Sumatra, congratulated the six students who won the TEY program and successfully started their studies at a state university.
“This scholarship is a concrete expression of our commitment to supporting progress in education and motivating the younger generation to continue developing their potential and pursuing higher ambitions,” he said.
The TEY program is designed to motivate students to realize their dream of studying at the university of their choice by acting as Telkomsel ambassadors throughout the program.

The activities begin with a visit to schools, followed by a selection procedure involving the school and relevant government agencies. Successful participants then take part in an onboarding process, which includes an introduction to Telkomsel’s mini-business products, sales strategies, and the preparation of monthly reports.
Afterwards, all participants carry out activities as Telkomsel ambassadors, supported by internet packages for the duration of the six-month program. As Telkomsel ambassadors, participants are encouraged to promote and carry out entrepreneurial activities via digital platforms, in line with their creativity. Each activity earns points that can be converted into savings for education.
Each point is worth 1,000 rupiah and is awarded cumulatively at the end of the TEY program, provided participants are admitted to a state university.

In addition to the opportunity to earn savings for education, participants also receive tutoring from Pahamify UTBK or a study grant for those already enrolled at other tutoring institutions.
