“We view BSI as a potential strategic partner in the development of the employment ecosystem. This cooperation can be further expanded to provide broader benefits to employees, job seekers, and human capital development,” said Cris Kuntadi during a meeting with BSI officials in Jakarta.
The Ministry of Labour and BSI previously signed a joint agreement on March 20, 2025, regarding the provision and use of Sharia banking services and products, and cooperation to improve the quality of personnel.
This agreement is valid for three years and covers capacity building and the development of personnel competencies, as well as the use of Sharia banking services and products.
The cooperation was subsequently strengthened by a cooperation agreement between the Labour Market Centre of the Ministry of Labour and BSI regarding the strengthening of labour market services on April 20, 2026.
This cooperation includes the provision of labour market information, the use of the Karirhub platform for job vacancies, and the conduct of seminars, open applications, and joint publications.
Cris stated that the implementation of this cooperation is already underway, including through open applications at the Labour Market Centre and BSI’s participation in the National Internship Programme.
“We hope that this ongoing cooperation can be expanded in the future with more concrete programs tailored to the needs of the labour market,” he said.
More extensive collaboration can be utilized to improve staff competencies through vocational training and the development of soft skills, including competencies relevant to industry needs such as digital banking, customer service, digital marketing, and the halal industry.

Collaboration can also be established with Manpower Polytechnic through student internships, on-campus recruitment, and the sharing of knowledge and expertise via seminars, webinars, and guest lectures.
“What we want to achieve is a collaboration that yields tangible benefits. Therefore, every opportunity for collaboration must be translated into a clear program, with objectives and measurable implementation,” says Cris. ***rel
