State Civil Apparatus Must Perform Face Recognition Attendance Twice a Day Applicable in Central Tapanuli •
OBROLANBISNIS.com — The Regent of Central Tapanuli, Masinton Pasaribu revealed that all State Civil Apparatus of the Central Tapanuli Regency Government are required to perform attendance online, effective Monday, June 2, 2025.

According to Masinton Pasaribu, this online attendance uses a face recognition system that is integrated with the office location.

This attendance system uses facial recognition technology and GPS to ensure that State Civil Apparatus employees perform attendance at the correct location.

“So, there are no more State Civil Apparatus employees performing attendance manually. Starting tomorrow, we will implement this online attendance in all offices and also agencies,” said Masinton Pasaribu, Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Masinton Pasaribu explained that how it works, each State Civil Apparatus employee performs a face scan and the system will check the location via GPS.

The system also ensures that the attendance is valid if the location and face of the State Civil Apparatus employee are verified. The attendance is then declared successful and the data is automatically recorded on the server.

“We are starting to build Central Tapanuli in a new, more advanced way. We hope that with this method, there will be no more State Civil Apparatus employees in Central Tapanuli who can cheat,” said Masinton Pasaribu.

He added that every State Civil Apparatus employee is required to do attendance twice a day, namely in the morning when coming to work, then in the afternoon when going home from work. ***
