Police seize 30 kg of methamphetamine and 60,000 Inex pills that were supposedly being transported to Jambi

A total of 30 kilograms of methamphetamine and 60,000 Inex pills from Tanjungbalai were seized on the Trans-Sumatra Highway (Jalinsum) in Aek Kanopan, Kualuh Hulu District, North Labura Regency, Monday (March 2).

Police received information that a drug ring traveling from Tanjungbalai to Jambi had been successfully dismantled in front of a bank in Aek Kanopan.

Suspect suspected of drug trafficking

The drug raid shocked residents of Aek Kanopan after police stopped a black sedan, but the exact number of people involved is still unknown.

It is rumored that the perpetrators were in the unidentified sedan, driven by a man and a woman. The perpetrators are suspected of being couriers transporting the illegal goods to Jambi province.

The perpetrators were powerless when police stopped the sedan.

During a search, a white bag, believed to contain 30 kilograms of methamphetamine and 60,000 Inex pills, was found in the trunk of the car.

“As the police chased the perpetrators, several shots were fired into the air as a warning to stop the sedan,” said a bystander at the scene.

Labuhan Baru police chief Wahyu Endrajaya S.IK M.SI, AKBP, declined to provide further information after receiving a WhatsApp message about the arrest of individuals found with crystal methamphetamine and Inex pills in his district.***
