Pegadaian Medan distributes Christmas gifts to environmental activists at waste bank
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, Regional Office 1 of PT Pegadaian in Medan, through the business representative of PT Pegadaian Region Medan 2, distributed Christmas gifts to environmental activists who are members of the Forsepsi (Forum Sahabat Emas Peduli Sampah Indonesia) community.
The Christmas gifts symbolize the continued commitment and support of Regional Office 1 of PT Pegadaian in Medan for environmental activists.

“PT Pegadaian is donating these Christmas gifts to the waste collection points in the hope of further strengthening the relationship between PT Pegadaian and the waste collection points, particularly in the context of PT Pegadaian’s commitment to the environment, sustainability, and good governance (ESG),” stated Heri Susianto, Deputy Director of PT Pegadaian Area Medan 2, together with Milla Rosa, Sales Representative of PT Pegadaian Area Medan 2, on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
The Christmas gifts were distributed between March 12 and 13, 2026, to environmental activists who manage the waste collection points.
The waste collection points that received Christmas gifts from Pegadaian Medan are: Anyelir Waste Bank in Medan City; Teratai Indah Waste Bank; Serumpun Padi Waste Bank; Permata Hati Waste Bank; Karya Mitra Waste Bank; Mitra Andespa Waste Bank; Citra Aur Waste Bank; New Normal Main Waste Bank; Karya Mandiri New Waste Bank; Berseri Main Waste Bank.
Pegadaian Waste Bank
“Pegadaian Waste Bank” is a program of PT Pegadaian, an Indonesian state-owned company (BUMN) active in financial services.
The Pegadaian Waste Bank program aims to collect waste and process it into products with economic value. The program also seeks to raise public awareness of the importance of good and sustainable waste management.
In this program, the public can collect recyclable waste, such as plastic, paper, and metal, and subsequently exchange it for gold that is stored in a savings account. This program has been implemented in various cities in Indonesia and has had a positive impact on the community and the environment. ***obs
