Ministry of Manpower Provides Aid to Earthquake Victims on Flores
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has distributed relief supplies to residents of Flores (East Nusa Tenggara/NTT) affected by the earthquake through the Kemnaker Peduli (‘Manpower Cares’) program.
The first phase of the relief effort involved fundraising by staff members involved in Kemnaker Peduli. The total value of the aid amounted to 119,700,000 rupiah and included 250 packages of basic food items, 250 relief kits, and 20 tarpaulins.

Sukro Muhab, Special Advisor to the Minister of Manpower, stated that this aid demonstrates the commitment of the ministry and its partners to the communities affected by the earthquake.
“We are distributing relief supplies from the Ministry of Manpower’s ‘Manpower Cares’ program in the areas of West Manggarai, East Manggarai, Manggarai Regency, and Nagekeo. This aid comes from our colleagues at the ministry and our partners, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the people on Flores,” said Sukro during an inspection of the aid distribution in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency.
The aid distribution began in West Manggarai Regency with the handing out of 60 packages of basic food items and financial assistance, distributed in two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
That same afternoon, the ‘Manpower Cares’ team also sent volunteers to Nagekeo Regency to distribute 80 packages of basic food items and financial assistance.
“Next, we will distribute 110 packages in the Reo, Lembor, and Mbeliling areas. This brings the total aid in this first phase to 250 packages of basic food items, 250 relief kits, and 20 tarpaulins,” said Sukro.
In addition, the Ministry of Manpower’s ‘Manpower Cares’ program received support worth 18 million rupiah from Perum Jasa Tirta, as well as 20 tarpaulins from the Accreditation Forum for Vocational Training Institutions (LA-LPK). The tarpaulins were distributed across East Manggarai, Nagekeo, and Reo.
Sukro hopes that support and aid for the earthquake-affected communities on Flores will continue as the Ministry of Manpower’s ‘Manpower Cares’ program expands to various areas on the island, including West Manggarai, East Manggarai, Manggarai Regency, Nagekeo, and other affected regions. ***rel
Kemnaker Salurkan Bantuan bagi Warga Terdampak Gempa di Pulau Flores
Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan (Kemnaker) melalui Program Kemnaker Peduli menyalurkan bantuan bagi warga terdampak gempa bumi di Pulau Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).
Pada tahap pertama, bantuan yang disalurkan merupakan hasil pengumpulan dana dari Insan Kemnaker Peduli dengan total bantuan Rp 119.700.000 berupa 250 paket sembako, 250 amplop santunan, serta 20 unit terpal.
Staf Khusus Menteri Ketenagakerjaan, Sukro Muhab, mengatakan bantuan tersebut merupakan bentuk kepedulian Kemnaker bersama para mitra kerja kepada masyarakat yang terdampak gempa.
“Kami akan menyalurkan bantuan dari Kemnaker Peduli untuk wilayah Manggarai Barat, Manggarai Timur, Kabupaten Manggarai, hingga Nagekeo. Bantuan ini berasal dari saudara-saudara kita di Kemnaker serta para mitra dengan harapan dapat meringankan penderitaan masyarakat di Pulau Flores ini,” ujar Sukro saat meninjau penyaluran bantuan di Labuan Bajo, Kabupaten Manggarai Barat.
Penyaluran bantuan diawali di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat dengan 60 paket sembako beserta santunan tunai yang diserahkan dalam dua sesi, pagi dan sore hari.
Pada siang harinya, tim Kemnaker Peduli juga melepas relawan untuk mendistribusikan 80 paket sembako beserta santunan tunai ke Kabupaten Nagekeo.
“Selanjutnya kita akan menyalurkan bantuan sebanyak 110 paket ke wilayah Reo , Lembor dan Mbeliling. Sehingga total bantuan yang diberikan pada tahap pertama ini berjumlah 250 paket sembako, 250 amplop santunan, dan 20 unit terpal,” kata Sukro.
Pelaksanaan Program Kemnaker Peduli turut mendapat dukungan Perum Jasa Tirta sebesar Rp18 juta serta 20 unit terpal dari Forum Lembaga Akreditasi Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja (LA-LPK). Bantuan terpal tersebut disalurkan ke Manggarai Timur, Nagekeo, dan Reo.
Sukro berharap dukungan dan bantuan bagi masyarakat terdampak gempa di Flores dapat terus berlanjut seiring penyaluran bantuan Kemnaker Peduli di sejumlah wilayah Pulau Flores, mulai dari Manggarai Barat, Manggarai Timur, Kabupaten Manggarai, Nagekeo, dan daerah-daerah terdampak lainnya. ***rel
