Ministry of Manpower officials must make a real impact on society
Minister of Manpower Yassierli has called upon all officials at the Ministry of Manpower to shift their perspective on their work—moving beyond mere administrative tasks to proposing solutions for various national employment challenges.
The Minister made this call during a meeting and capacity-building session for staff at the Kendari Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) and the Kendari Employment Development Center (BPKK) in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

According to the Minister, every Ministry of Manpower official must adopt a national perspective when carrying out their duties. Officials should not simply perform their work according to the rules; they must also understand the government’s role in providing solutions to various employment-related issues.
“As ministry officials, we must think from a national perspective. Our challenge lies in how we can provide solutions for unemployment. Everyone has the power to create change, driven by individual initiative,” the Minister stated.
To achieve this, the Minister of Manpower emphasized the importance of fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture based on the concept of “A great place to grow.”
In his view, the work environment should encourage every employee to continuously develop, openly express ideas, and create innovations that genuinely benefit the community.
He cited the success of a training center as an example, noting that the quality of the program is not measured solely by the training itself. All staff members, including instructors, must continue to innovate so that graduates can access the labor market and be integrated into the business sector.
In line with this, vocational training centers—including BPVP Kendari—will continue to strengthen their roles as hubs for talent and innovation.
These centers will serve not only as training sites but also as hubs for collaboration, talent development, business consulting, productivity enhancement, and the provision of various digital employment services.
“Therefore, I encourage all civil servants to view every task as a form of public service. The Ministry’s success is not measured by the number of programs implemented, but by the tangible benefits experienced by the community, including an accelerated decline in unemployment,” he said.

The Minister of Manpower added that these shifts in work culture form the foundation for strengthening the Ministry’s various priority programs.
He went on to explain that confidence in the Ministry of Manpower’s transformation is beginning to be reflected in growing government support for the development of vocational training and MagangHub.
Through these programs, more people gain the opportunity to enhance their skills and access the labor market.
On this occasion, the Minister of Manpower also emphasized that integrity is the essential foundation for building a professional and trustworthy bureaucracy.

He called upon all levels of government to uphold high moral standards, practice honesty, and eliminate practices that undermine public service delivery.
