Ministry of Labor and Huawei Indonesia strengthen cooperation on personnel development and internship programs
The Ministry of Labor (Kemnaker) and Huawei Indonesia have strengthened their strategic cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on personnel development and the improvement of digital competencies in Jakarta on May 26, 2026.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by R. Nurhidajat, Head of the Labor Market Center of the Ministry of Labor, and Andhi Mufti, Director of Human Resources at Huawei Indonesia, in the presence of Cris Kuntadi, Secretary General of the Ministry.

Cris Kuntadi, Secretary General of the Ministry, stated that the development of technological transformation requires personnel to be adaptable and possess skills that align with the needs of the industry. Therefore, the involvement of the business community is considered crucial for improving the community’s competencies.
“This collaboration is expected to lead to competent professionals ready to meet the challenges of the labor market. The industry needs a flexible workforce with skills that align with technological developments,” said Cris.
He added that the Ministry of Labor remains committed to vocational training and internship programs that meet the needs of the labor market. The collaboration with Huawei Indonesia is expected to increase opportunities for competence development for the younger generation, particularly in the fields of information and communication technology and industrial digitalization.

In addition to expanding cooperation with the industry, the Ministry of Labor is also improving the management of internship programs through strengthened digital regulations and oversight.
