Minister of Labor emphasizes company’s commitment to employment for people with disabilities
Minister of Labor (Menaker) Yassierli paid a working visit to PT Pan Brothers Tbk in Boyolali, Central Java.
The visit took place to assess the implementation of equal opportunities in the labor market for people with disabilities at one of Indonesia’s largest textile and clothing companies.
Yassierli concluded that PT Pan Brothers Tbk has taken concrete steps to create employment for people with disabilities while simultaneously creating a work environment that supports the development of every employee’s potential.
“I express my greatest appreciation to the management of PT Pan Brothers Tbk for providing real and equitable opportunities to our colleagues with disabilities,” said Yassierli.
Yassierli stated that this step is in line with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2016 on Persons with Disabilities, which requires private companies to have at least 1 percent of their total workforce consist of people with disabilities. He stated that the company not only complies with its legal obligations but also offers supportive facilities and develops a work system that aligns with the needs of every employee.
“Pan Brothers has not only successfully met these requirements but has also succeeded in providing supportive facilities and creating an adaptive, friendly, and inclusive work culture,” said Yassierli.

The Minister of Labor hopes that the practices of PT Pan Brothers Tbk can serve as an example for the business community in increasing access to work for people with disabilities in various sectors.
According to him, synergy between the government and the business community is an important basis for creating a labor market that offers equal opportunities while simultaneously increasing national productivity.
