Governor Bobby Nasution urges regional administrators on the Nias Islands to accelerate proposals for Provincial Financial Support (BKP) for 2027
The Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, has called upon all regional administrators on the Nias Islands to immediately submit proposals for Provincial Financial Support (BKP) for the fiscal year 2027.
This step is considered crucial to ensure that development programs can be implemented quickly starting from the fiscal year.

Nasution made this statement during the coordination meeting for the implementation of the BKP at the Governor’s temporary residence in Gunungsitoli.
“For 2027, if possible, accelerate the submission of proposals so that they can be implemented by early 2027,” said Bobby Nasution.
Bobby Nasution also requested the regents and mayors to prioritize program proposals that have a direct impact on the community, particularly in the economic, health, and education sectors.
In fiscal year 2026, the provincial government of North Sumatra disbursed approximately 53 billion Indonesian rupees (IDR) in provincial financial support to district and city administrations on the Nias Islands.

The funds were used for various development programs, ranging from road repair and construction, irrigation, and school building to drilling water wells.
The details of the BKP allocation are as follows: 23.42 billion rupees for the North Nias Regency, 8 billion rupees for the Nias Regency, 7.95 billion rupees for the South Nias Regency, 5 billion rupees for the West Nias Regency, and 9.32 billion rupees for the city of Gunungsitoli.
The head of the North Sumatra Regional Agency for Development Planning, Research and Innovation (Bapperida), Dikky Anugerah, hopes that the BKP disbursed by the North Sumatra Provincial Government will actually yield tangible benefits for the community.
“We hope that the community will experience the benefits of the disbursed BKP,” said Dikky.

The coordination meeting was held to discuss the progress of the implementation of the 2026 BKP program and to obtain an overview of the program requirements for fiscal year 2027.
Also present at the meeting were Amizaro Waruwu, Regent of North Nias, Sokhiatolo Laia, Regent of South Nias, Eliyunus Waruwu, Regent of West Nias, Yaatulo Gulo, Regent of Nias, Sowa’a Laoli, Mayor of Gunungsitoli, Chandra Dalimunthe, Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) of North Sumatra, and Alexander Sinulingga, Head of the Education Agency of North Sumatra. ***rel
