Government confirms no price increase for subsidized and non-subsidized fuel starting April 1


Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Vice Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), has confirmed that there will be no price increase for subsidized or non-subsidized fuel starting April 1, 2026.

“The DPR RI appreciates that the government has listened to the input of various parties, including the DPR RI itself, and announces that there are no plans to adjust the prices of subsidized or non-subsidized fuel,” he said in Jakarta.

The public is requested not to panic and not to queue at gas stations, as fuel prices will remain the same starting tomorrow.

“President Prabowo is committed to continuously monitoring and ensuring the fuel needs of the population,” he said.

The Minister of State has announced that the government has no plans to adjust the prices of subsidized or non-subsidized fuel.

Therefore, the public is urgently requested not to panic, queue, or hoard fuel, as prices will remain the same starting tomorrow.

“The government is constantly monitoring the situation and ensuring that no adjustments are made to the prices of subsidized or non-subsidized fuel to meet the needs of the public,” he said. ***obs
