Father Abuses Own Child in Toba
A shocking incident has occurred in Parmaksian District, Toba Region. A man with the initials LS (39) was arrested on Sunday (March 8, 2026) by the Women and Child Protection Unit of the Toba Police Criminal Investigation Department.
Toba Police Chief Vinsensius Jimmy Parapaga, S.I.K., confirmed the arrest of the perpetrator through AKP Criminal Investigation Department Chief Erikson David Hutauruk, SH, as announced Tuesday (March 10) by the Public Relations Department, Brigadier Fransiskus Situngkir.
The perpetrator abused his own 3-year-old child.
Fransiskus explained that on Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM (WEB), in the Parmaksian district of Toba Regency, an alleged rape of a minor girl by her biological father occurred.
The child, whom we will call Melati (3), was being cared for by her mother, FB (37), an employee of the Human Development Department (KPM).
The victim experienced pain in her genitals.
The child subsequently complained about the pain to her mother.
After a few days, her mother took Melati to the rice fields, but Melati continued to complain of pain in her genitals.
Her mother became suspicious of her daughter’s complaint. She immediately went home to investigate and discovered a cut.
The complainant (the victim’s mother) was unhappy about the incident and filed a report with the authorities.
The perpetrator was arrested by Toba police.
It is important to note that the victim was also taken to the detention center in Bindes (the village) for a medical checkup that same day.
The perpetrator has since been arrested and will be prosecuted according to applicable law, particularly regarding the alleged crime of sexual abuse of a minor.
The Toba police are urging all parents in the jurisdiction to monitor their children’s development to prevent similar incidents. “Children are our future, so protect them,” the police concluded.***
