Bobby Nasution discusses accelerating subsidized housing construction with House of Representatives representatives
The Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, held a meeting with Andre Rosiade, Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), and the association of housing developers in North Sumatra.
The discussion focused on efforts to accelerate the social housing development program, particularly for low-income communities (MBR) or recipients of subsidized housing.

The meeting took place in the Tengku Rizal Nurdin (TRN) Hall at the official residence of the North Sumatra Governor on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Various topics were discussed, ranging from the high cost of construction materials to efforts to expedite administrative procedures for subsidized housing.
During the meeting, Governor Bobby Nasution outlined several issues raised by housing developers, including the high cost of construction materials and the need to streamline administrative processes for subsidized housing.
“Regarding material prices, we are trying to offer solutions that we can work on together. We really need to collaborate to lower the price (of construction materials). We can purchase them in bulk, which would allow for discounts. The government also has requirements for implementing development programs,” Bobby Nasution explained.
According to Bobby Nasution, this idea can be realized through cooperation between central and regional governments to jointly procure materials—such as cement—alongside the private sector.

“For instance, when the government requires materials, we inform distributors of our needs. This is combined with the requirements of housing developers. In this way, bulk purchasing can secure discounts and lower prices. Such procurement can be handled through our regional enterprises (BUMD),” Bobby said.
According to Bobby, this initiative represents regional support for the success of the ‘One Million Houses’ program, particularly regarding social housing (MBR)—or subsidized housing. Furthermore, the North Sumatra provincial government is encouraging the simplification of administrative processes, such as obtaining certificates and accessing other services.
“Ultimately, all parties involved—including banks, regional enterprises (BUMD), local governments, and others—must assist one another to resolve this issue. This is a national program,” Bobby stated.
Meanwhile, Andre Rosiade, Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR-RI), welcomed Governor Bobby Nasution’s proposal to maintain a favorable investment climate in North Sumatra, particularly within the housing sector.

Bobby Nasution Bahas Percepatan Rumah Subsidi Wakil Rakyat
Gubernur Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution berdiskusi dengan Wakil Ketua Komisi VI DPR-RI Andre Rosiade dan asosiasi pengembang perumahan di Sumut.
Antara lain membahas upaya mempercepat program pembangunan perumahan rakyat, khususnya bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah (MBR) atau penerima rumah subsidi.
Diskusi tersebut berlangsung di Aula Tengku Rizal Nurdin (TRN), Rumah Dinas Gubernur Sumut, Sabtu, 26 September 2026. Sejumlah persoalan dibahas, mulai dari tingginya harga material bangunan hingga upaya mempercepat proses administrasi perumahan bersubsidi.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Gubernur Bobby Nasution memberikan gambaran terkait sejumlah kondisi yang menjadi keluhan perusahaan pengembang perumahan. Salah satunya tingginya harga material bangunan serta perlunya percepatan proses administrasi untuk perumahan bersubsidi.
“Kalau untuk harga bahan material, kami coba tawarkan cara yang mungkin bisa kita atasi bersama. Jadi memang kita harus kolaborasi, agar harga itu (material bangunan) bisa lebih murah, bagaimana jumlah pembeliannya dalam skala besar, jadi ada potongan. Karena kan pemerintah punya kebutuhan juga untuk menjalankan program pembangunan,” jelas Bobby Nasution.
Menurut Bobby Nasution, ide tersebut dapat dilakukan melalui kolaborasi antara pemerintah, baik pusat maupun provinsi, untuk bersama-sama melakukan pengadaan material seperti semen dengan pihak swasta yang membutuhkannya.
“Jadi nanti pemerintah misalnya membutuhkan material, kita sampaikan ke distributor berapa kebutuhannya. Ditambah dengan kebutuhan para perusahaan pengembang perumahan. Sehingga pembelian dalam jumlah besar bisa mendapat potongan, dan harga bisa lebih murah. Dan itu (pengadaan) bisa dilakukan melalui BUMD kita,” sebut Bobby.
Menurut Bobby, upaya tersebut merupakan bentuk dukungan daerah dalam menyukseskan program sejuta rumah, khususnya untuk MBR atau rumah subsidi. Selain itu, Pemprov Sumut juga mendorong agar proses administrasi seperti pengurusan sertifikat dan lainnya dapat dipermudah.
“Intinya semua pihak terkait harus saling bantu, termasuk perbankan, BUMD, pemerintah daerah, dan lainnya, untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Karena ini program nasional,” kata Bobby.
Sementara itu, Wakil Ketua Komisi VI DPR-RI Andre Rosiade menyambut baik usulan Gubernur Bobby Nasution untuk membantu menjaga iklim investasi di Sumut, khususnya sektor perumahan.
Hal tersebut sejalan dengan langkah pemerintah pusat yang terus mendorong agar penyediaan rumah subsidi bagi MBR dapat berjalan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia.
Andre juga mengapresiasi perhatian Gubernur Bobby Nasution yang terus bekerja menghadirkan pembangunan di berbagai daerah, terutama wilayah yang selama ini masih jauh dari harapan.
Dengan demikian, masyarakat dapat merasakan kehadiran negara serta manfaat pembangunan. Sebagai lembaga legislatif, pihaknya juga akan menyuarakan dan mendorong agar program pemerintah dapat berjalan.
