Nasution communicated this willingness during a reception for Ameriza M. Moesa, Head of the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office for the Province of North Sumatra, and her staff at the Tengku Rizal Nurdin Hall, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 41, Medan, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
The meeting served as a forum for discussing various strategic agendas regarding regional investment development in Sumatra. Nasution expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in North Sumatra as the host of the BI Investment Day. He stated that Sumatra’s enormous potential must be managed in an integrated manner to become a driving force for the national economy.
“Sumatra’s potential is extraordinary. We hope that investment flows via this BI Investment Day will not only go to one region, but can be integrated and have a real economic impact on all communities on the island of Sumatra,” said Bobby.
He also emphasized the commitment of the North Sumatra Provincial Government to creating a favorable investment climate by strengthening synergy between regions, so that incoming investment opportunities benefit all regions in Sumatra.
In addition to discussing regional investment promotion, the meeting also offered the opportunity to strengthen the synergy between the North Sumatra Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia in promoting the business climate, strengthening SMEs, and accelerating the digitization of regional government transactions to increase North Sumatra’s economic resilience.
Meanwhile, Ameriza M. Moesa, head of the BI representation office for the province of North Sumatra, explained that the BI Investment Day was set up as a forum to bring together regional governments, investors, and various stakeholders and to expand investment opportunities on the island of Sumatra.
