B50 policy effective from July 1, 2026
As part of efforts to achieve energy independence and efficiency, the government is introducing the B50 policy, which takes effect on July 1, 2026.
“Pertamina is ready to implement fuel blends. This B50 policy has the potential to reduce the use of fossil fuels,” stated Airlangga Hartanto, Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs of the Red-White Cabinet, in Jakarta.
According to him, the B50 policy will certainly reduce fossil fuel consumption within six months and also save on biodiesel subsidies, which are estimated at 48 trillion rupiah.
To ensure fuel distribution, the government will introduce purchasing regulations.
With the My Pertamina barcode, a reasonable limit of 50 liters per vehicle applies. However, this does not apply to public transport. ***obs
