AstraPay QRIS payment transactions at automotive workshops increase in the run-up to the return home

As Eid al-Fitr approaches, preparations for the return home are increasing.

This also influences people’s transaction patterns, as they increasingly use digital payments, particularly for mobility-related needs such as vehicle maintenance.

AstraPay has observed an increase in the use of QRIS at automotive companies, particularly at automotive and motorcycle workshops.

This trend aligns with people’s habit of checking and maintaining their vehicles before going home. Increasing use of AstraPay QRIS at car and motorcycle repair shops

Reny Futsy Yama, Chief Marketing Officer at AstraPay, stated that the increase in transactions reflects the growing popularity of digital payments in daily life.

“As Eid approaches, people usually start getting their vehicles ready for their return journey. We are seeing an increase in the use of AstraPay QRIS at car and motorcycle repair shops, as many users have their vehicles serviced before they leave,” said Reny.

In addition to the automotive sector, AstraPay also sees potential for an increase in transactions in various other categories during the Eid period.

Overall, AstraPay expects transaction growth of approximately 15%, with the largest contribution still coming from payments at car repair shops, followed by early payments and Christmas hamper delivery services. “In addition to vehicle maintenance, we are also seeing a tendency to make installment payments earlier in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr. Moreover, the use of delivery services for Christmas hampers typically increases during this period, as people exchange gifts with family and friends. To meet this need, AstraPay is partnering with logistics service provider Paxel to make it easier for users to send Christmas hampers during the Eid al-Fitr holidays,” he explained.

AstraPay aims for a 30 percent volume growth in QRIS transactions in 2026

The period around Eid al-Fitr is also a crucial time for AstraPay to boost the use of QRIS.

In 2026, AstraPay aims for a 30% growth in QRIS transaction volume compared to the previous year, in line with the expansion of partnerships with various retailers and the strengthening of cooperation with SMEs and partners in various sectors. “The Eid al-Fitr period offers us an important opportunity to further promote the use of QRIS. This is also supported by our various expansions, both with retailers in the food and beverage industry and with SMEs,” added Reny.

In line with the increased mobility of people during the return home, AstraPay is also supporting a smooth journey by sponsoring the Astra Siaga Lebaran 2026 program.

Astra deploys 600 automotive technicians and 1,092 motorcycle technicians

Through this program, Astra deployed 600 automotive technicians and 1,092 Honda motorcycle technicians at various locations along the national return route from March 17 to 24, 2026.

Astra also deployed 132 backup workshops and 14 backup posts along the main return routes, supported by 61 Garda Siaga vehicles operating 24/7 and 66 AstraWorld roadside assistance vehicles to help travelers with travel problems.

Additionally, AstraPay also participated in the Honda Mudik – Balik Bareng program of 2026. In this program, Honda transported 2,521 travelers on 60 luxury buses from Sunter, North Jakarta, to various destinations on the island of Java. Thanks to this support, AstraPay offered travelers various attractive activities and promotions, including a cashback program of up to 320,000 Indonesian rupees. This made the return journey not only more practical in terms of transactions but also more affordable for users.

With this support, AstraPay hopes to contribute to a safer, more comfortable, and smoother return journey, while simultaneously offering the convenience of digital transactions to the public during the trip.

In the future, AstraPay will continue to strengthen cooperation with various partners within the Astra ecosystem to provide an increasingly seamless transaction process and encourage the adoption of digital payments in various sectors of public transport. ***obs
