As of June 1, 2026, 25 popular cars will no longer be allowed to use subsidized fuel, because the maximum engine capacity for subsidies is 1400 cc.
Cars such as the Toyota Avanza, Veloz, Xpander, Terios, BRV, Stargazer, HRV, Zenix, Fortuner petrol, CRV turbo, Civic RS, Mazda 3, Cortez, Almaz RS, and Omoda 5 are affected.

Even hybrid cars such as the Ertiga, XL7, and Xpander Cross are not exempt. The QR code system at gas stations automatically blocks the fuel nozzle. This regulation is intended to improve the national economy, but it will have consequences for government spending.
Cars affected by the ban on subsidized fuel
