National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Collaborates with the Attorney General’s Office to Monitor President Prabowo’s MBG Program
The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sudaryono, and his staff visited Attorney General ST Burhanuddin at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
BGN Deputy Director for Oversight and Monitoring, Ketut Sumedana, stated that the visit by BGN officials to the Attorney General’s Office was intended to discuss cooperation in civil and administrative matters, as well as to pay a courtesy call.

“As he is a new official, there are certainly many matters to discuss regarding future cooperation in civil and administrative areas. That was the general gist of it,” said Ketut Sumedana.
Additionally, the BGN discussed the alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which is currently being investigated by the Attorney General’s Office.
In light of this case, Sudaryono requested oversight and legal assistance to prevent further irregularities in the implementation of the MBG program.
“Oh yes, that is important. He requested future support. Legal assistance, legal audits, and on-site monitoring will be carried out by colleagues from the Attorney General’s Office,” he concluded.
Anang Supriatna, Head of the Legal Information Center at the Attorney General’s Office, also stated that his office stands ready to support the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in improving the governance of the MBG program.
“It is clear that the leadership has shared more details about what happened and that this will serve as a basis for future evaluations. We must ensure that this does not happen again, especially regarding the board. And the Public Prosecution Service stands ready to assist with this,” explained Anang Supriatna. ***adh
