Human Resources: The Key to a Golden Indonesia 2045
Minister of Labour, Yassierli, emphasized that human resources (HR) are the key to realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045. Therefore, the younger generation must possess an innovative mindset, continue learning, and think ahead to face change and contribute to the country’s progress.
The Minister of Labour conveyed this message to 242 scholarship students attending the Tanoto Scholars Gathering (TSG) 2026 at the RGE Exhibition Center in Pelalawan, Riau.

On that occasion, Yassierli outlined three mindsets that the younger generation must possess to face future challenges. First, an innovative mindset: the passion to constantly seek new ways to solve problems.
Second, a growth mindset: the willingness to continuously learn, develop, and not be afraid of failure. Third, a future-oriented mindset: the ability to think ahead and make an impactful contribution in the long term.
“These three keys are crucial for the younger generation if they want to become influential leaders of a Golden Indonesia and lift Indonesia to greater heights,” said Yassierli.
According to the Minister of Labor, one must build not only on innovative projects but also on a culture of innovation. A project has a time limit, whereas a culture of innovation continuously generates better ideas, solutions, and working methods.
He explained that innovation does not always mean developing new products. Innovation can also be realized through services, business models, and work systems that offer added value and help address diverse challenges in the labor market, while simultaneously creating more jobs amidst global dynamics.

On that occasion, Yassierli encouraged the Tanoto Foundation to continue stimulating the spirit of innovation among the younger generation.
He hoped that the Tanoto Scholars Gathering would be not only a platform for academic achievement but also a space for the development of leadership and civic awareness.
“My dream is for Indonesia to become a great country in 2045, but only if we become an innovation nation. That is what I am currently campaigning for,” said Yassierli. ***REL
