Two youths from North Sumatra selected for the National Flag-Raising Group

The Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, has encouraged and morally supported two of the best youths from North Sumatra who have been selected for the National Flag-Raising Group (Paskibraka) of 2026.

Governor Bobby expressed the hope that both will perform their duties well and honor North Sumatra on a national level.

Nasution expressed his support during the reception of the two candidates for the National Flag-Raising Group at the office of the Governor of North Sumatra, Jalan Diponegoro No. 30, Medan, prior to their training camp in Jakarta.

The two students who will represent North Sumatra during the commemoration ceremony of the 81st Indonesian Independence Day are Gussa Oliver Nainggolan from SMA Negeri 2 Balige and Felesia Rismaito Munthe from SMA Unggul DEL. Both were accompanied by their parents.

On that occasion, Bobby Nasution expressed his pride and congratulated the two students who had been selected to hoist the national flag (Paskibraka).

“On behalf of the provincial government of North Sumatra, we congratulate you on your selection for the important task of hoisting the national flag. This is a great honor,” said Bobby Nasution.

Bobby advised them to pay close attention to their health and fitness during the training camp in Jakarta. He emphasized that serving as Paskibraka is a task that must be performed with full responsibility and discipline.

He also hoped that this experience would motivate them to continue excelling, both during their duties and after their return to school.

“Good luck with your training and good luck with your duties. I hope you can successfully carry out your tasks, give North Sumatra a good name, and continue to achieve excellent school results,” he added.

As a token of appreciation, Bobby Nasution presented Gussa Oliver Nainggolan and Felesia Rismaito Munthe each with pocket money of 10 million rupiah. This financial support is expected to boost their enthusiasm and motivation during their quarantine and training period in Jakarta. ***REL
