Medan Police Raid in Sibolangit
A Medan police team raided a drug trafficking location in Sibolangit, Deliserdang District.
During the raid, officers arrested 21 people and took them to the Medan police station for questioning and further legal action.
Snatch and Grab in Bukit Pramuka
Medan Police Chief, Chief Superintendent Jean Calvijn Simajuntak, stated that this was the second raid in Bukit Pramuka, Sibolangit, in an effort to eradicate drug trafficking.
Pramuka Hill in Sibolangit is becoming a hotbed of drugs and gambling.
“Pramuka Hill has been designed by irresponsible individuals with a strict security system. They even use communication equipment at every central point to monitor the presence of officers,” he said on Wednesday (January 21).
From the site, Calvin showed two large barracks that serve as counters for users who wait in long lines to buy drugs and gamble.
“It is estimated that these drug barracks have been in use for four months. I want to take this opportunity to ask the public to come forward if they observe any suspicious activity,” he said. ***
