Eben Ezer Simangunsong Appointed Head of the Sanggau District Public Prosecution Service
The President of the West Kalimantan High Court, Emilwan Ridwan, S.H., MH, inaugurated Eben Ezer Simangunsong, S.H., and administered the oath of office. Eben Ezer Simangunsong, S.H., MH, formerly coordinator of the East Nusa Tenggara District Public Prosecution Service in Kupang, was appointed Head of the Sanggau District Public Prosecution Service in Pontianak on Tuesday, January 6, 2025.
This appointment follows the issuance of Decree KEP-IV-1734/C/12/2025, signed by Deputy Attorney General for Development Hendro Dewanto. This decree regulates the transfer and rotation of various third-rank officials within the Indonesian Public Prosecution Service between central and regional departments.
In Decree KEP-IV-1734/C/12/2025, Eben Ezer Mangunsong, S.H., M.H., formerly coordinator at the East Nusa Tenggara Public Prosecution Service in Kupang, has been appointed head of the Sanggau District Public Prosecution Service in West Kalimantan.
Message from the West Kalimantan Public Prosecutor’s Office
In his speech, West Kalimantan Chief Public Prosecutor Emilwan Ridwan advised the newly appointed officials to perform their duties responsibly, in the interest of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to avoid any abuse of power, and to ensure that every step reflects the values of justice, fairness, and dedication.
“The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office plays a strategic role as the vanguard of law enforcement in the region. Therefore, I emphasize the importance of always maintaining integrity, professionalism, and independence in the performance of all duties,” Emilwan Ridwan emphasized.
Furthermore, Emilwan Ridwan emphasized the importance of strict internal oversight, improving the quality of public service, and optimizing the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s role in supporting priority government programs. This focus includes law enforcement, combating corruption, and recovering government funds.
Eben Ezer Simangunsong’s Role at the Public Prosecution Service
He urged the Sanggau Public Prosecution Service to continue transforming and innovating in line with the enactment of Penal Code No. 1 of 2023 and Code of Criminal Procedure No. 20 of 2025, which came into effect on January 2, 2026.
