Vocational training prepares the workforce for the labor market
Minister of Manpower Yassierli emphasized that vocational training is crucial for the workforce to meet the demands of the labor market.
Through training programs that teach practical skills, individuals can enhance their competencies to satisfy the requirements of the business and industrial sectors.

Yassierli made these remarks during an evaluation of the National Vocational Training Program’s implementation at the Bantul Vocational Training and Productivity Service (Satpel PVP) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
In this cohort, the Bantul PVP trained 96 participants, preparing them for careers as skilled workers and independent entrepreneurs. The training covered seven vocational fields aligned with market demand.
“The government remains committed to promoting initial training, upskilling, and reskilling within the community. The presence of these 96 participants demonstrates a keen awareness of the importance of technical expertise as a foundation for success in the competitive landscape of business and industry,” Yassierli stated at the training facility.
The seven vocational training programs included Information and Communication Technology (ICT), featuring advanced graphic design and office applications; Apparel and Textiles, covering areas such as sewing and industrial machinery operation; and Culinary Arts, focusing on food processing and baking.

The programs also encompassed Beauty Services, including makeup and hairdressing; Automotive Engineering, covering the maintenance of conventional and fuel-injected motorcycles; Manufacturing and Welding Technology (SMAW); and Electrical and Refrigeration Engineering, training personnel in lighting installations and air conditioning maintenance.
Yassierli urged the public—particularly young people seeking employment or looking to change careers—to take advantage of the free vocational training programs offered by the government.
Information regarding registration, available spots, and vocational training options can be found on the official SIAPkerja platform (kemnaker.go.id) under the “Skillhub” menu.
This easy access is expected to provide the public with greater opportunities to enhance their skills and align them with the needs of the labor market.

Pelatihan Vokasi Jadi Bekal Bagi Angkatan Kerja Hadapi Dunia Kerja
Menteri Ketenagakerjaan (Menaker), Yassierli menegaskan, pelatihan vokasi menjadi bekal penting bagi angkatan kerja untuk menghadapi dunia kerja. Melalui pelatihan yang memberikan keterampilan praktis, masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kompetensi sesuai kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI).
Hal tersebut disampaikan Yassierli saat meninjau pelaksanaan Program Pelatihan Vokasi Nasional di Satuan Pelayanan Pelatihan Vokasi dan Produktivitas (Satpel PVP) Bantul, DI Yogyakarta.
Pada gelombang kali ini, Satpel PVP Bantul melatih 96 peserta yang dipersiapkan menjadi tenaga kerja kompeten maupun wirausaha mandiri. Pelatihan mencakup tujuh kejuruan yang disesuaikan dengan permintaan pasar.
“Pemerintah terus berkomitmen memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk melakukan skilling, upskilling, maupun reskilling. Kehadiran 96 peserta ini menunjukkan tingginya kesadaran mereka untuk menjadikan keahlian teknis sebagai bekal memenangkan persaingan di dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI),” ujar Yassierli di lokasi pelatihan.
Tujuh kejuruan tersebut meliputi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), dengan materi desain grafis dan office advance; Garmen Apparel, yang mencakup menjahit fashion dan mesin industri; serta Tata Boga untuk pengolahan makanan dan bakery.
Pelatihan juga mencakup Tata Kecantikan dengan materi make-up dan tata rambut; Otomotif untuk servis motor konvensional dan injeksi; Teknik Las Manufaktur (SMAW); serta Teknik Listrik dan Refrigerasi untuk instalasi penerangan dan teknisi AC.
Yassierli mengimbau masyarakat, terutama generasi muda yang sedang mencari kerja atau ingin beralih profesi, untuk memanfaatkan program pelatihan vokasi gratis yang disediakan pemerintah.
Informasi pendaftaran, ketersediaan kuota, dan pemilihan kejuruan dapat diakses melalui platform resmi SIAPkerja (kemnaker.go.id) pada menu “Skillhub”. Kemudahan akses tersebut diharapkan membuka kesempatan lebih luas bagi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja.
Ke depan, Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan menargetkan balai-balai pelatihan vokasi di berbagai daerah terus bertransformasi menjadi pusat inkubasi talenta unggul yang adaptif terhadap dinamika pekerjaan masa depan. ***rel
