UNPRI Achieves Top Rankings in Two Prestigious Categories of the SPMI LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra 2025
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) has once again achieved strategic success in strengthening governance and the quality culture of higher education by achieving top rankings in two prestigious categories of the SPMI Reporting Award (Internal Quality Assurance System) for private universities (PTS) in the LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra.
According to UNPRI Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, MKes, the SPMI Reporting Awards 2025 had five categories: Identification, Implementation, Evaluation, Monitoring, and Improvement.
At this event, UNPRI achieved second place in the Implementation category and first place in the Improvement category. This reflects UNPRI’s consistency in implementing and improving its internal quality assurance system in a structured, measurable, and sustainable manner.
UNPRI Receives Awards for Excellence in Curriculums in Five Degree Programs
UNPRI’s Rector stated that these achievements are part of UNPRI’s long-term strategy to strengthen its quality-oriented culture and enhance the institution’s competitive position.
In addition to institutional achievements, UNPRI also received awards for excellence in curricula in five degree programs.
These awards serve as indicators of the quality of UNPRI’s education, which aligns with national higher education standards and contributes to achieving sustainable academic quality. These awards are:
- Bachelor’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature
- Bachelor’s Program in Agricultural Technology
- Bachelor’s Program in Computer Science
- Doctoral Program in Law
- Master’s Program in Law
Internal Quality Assurance System
All awards were received by Refi Ikhtiari, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice-Rector III for Student Affairs, and alumni of Universitas Prima Indonesia, at an awards ceremony hosted by LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra.
“These awards are the result of the collective efforts of the entire academic community of Universitas Prima Indonesia to create a sustainable quality culture. The Internal Quality Assurance System forms the foundation for ensuring the quality of governance, academic processes, and outcomes in higher education,” said Prof. Chrismis.
The UNPRI Rector further emphasized that strengthening the Internal Quality Assurance System plays a strategic role in supporting UNPRI’s global presence.
“Our continuous quality improvement also aims to support UNPRI’s participation in various international rankings, as well as achieving international accreditation targets for institutions and study programs. This is part of UNPRI’s commitment to enhancing its reputation and global competitiveness,” he added.
SPMI Reporting Awards 2025
The 2025 SPMI Reporting Awards were officially opened by the Head of LLDIKTI Region I North Sumatra, Prof. Dr. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D. This year, LLDIKTI Region I presented 220 awards in recognition of universities that demonstrated strong commitment to SPMI reporting and implementation.
This achievement is a strategic step for UNPRI in support of SDGs 4 and 17 and accelerates its path to international recognition.
With the awarding of the “Unggul” (Excellent Program) designation to these five programs, UNPRI now has two internationally accredited programs and 16 “Unggul” (Excellent Programs), including:
