To ensure safety and a smooth Chinese New Year celebration for 2577 in 2026, the Tanjung Morawa police, part of the Deli Serdang police department, have increased security at temples and Chinese temples to ensure a smooth celebration for ethnic Chinese residents on Monday, February 16, 2026.
The patrols and coordination were carried out by Tanjung Morawa Police Chief, AKP, Jonni H. Damanik, SH, MH, along with several officers.
Deliserdang police are conducting patrols in the Tanjung Morawa area.
“Security measures are focused on temples and Chinese temples in connection with the Chinese New Year celebrations in 2026,” said the Tanjung Morawa police chief.
Police officers were observed guarding the Toa Pekong Hok Tek Cia Sin on Jalan Irian Pekan in Tanjung Morawa, where many Chinese residents were praying.***
