Tengku Firdaus Appointed Assistant for Special Crimes at the South Sumatra Public Prosecutor’s Office
Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has once again rotated and reassigned various third-level officials within the Indonesian Public Prosecutor’s Office, affecting both central-level and regional units.
The reassignments and rotations are set out in Decree No. IV-10122/C/07/2026 (dated 2026) regarding the dismissal and appointment of officials to structural positions within the Indonesian Public Prosecutor’s Office; the decree was signed by the Junior Attorney General for Development, Hendro Dewanto, on July 29, 2026.

The decree, signed by Junior Attorney General for Development Hendro Dewanto, covers 176 structural positions. These roles include, among others, Head of the District Prosecutor’s Office, Head of a Sub-directorate, Head of a Division, Junior Inspector, and Coordinator.
Item number 84 (eighty-four) in the decree concerns Tengku Firdaus, SH, MH, who has been promoted to the position of Assistant for Special Crimes (specifically corruption cases) at the South Sumatra Public Prosecutor’s Office in Palembang.
With the issuance of this reassignment decree, Tengku Firdaus will immediately vacate his previous position as Head of the Kutai Kertanegara District Prosecutor’s Office in East Kalimantan. He had held that position for approximately one year.
Tengku Firdaus is a prosecutor born in Pekanbaru, Riau Province. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Islamic University of Riau (Pekanbaru) in 2000 and a Master of Laws degree from Putra Bangsa University (Surabaya, East Java) in 2006.

Tengku Firdaus has worked tirelessly to foster relationships, synergies, and collaborations with all sectors of the local community, regional government, and the business world. He was deeply committed to supporting the regional government in realizing regional development for the benefit of the community.

The former intelligence officer for the Riau Islands Public Prosecution Office admitted that he holds no specific career ambitions beyond his role as a law enforcement officer within the Indonesian Public Prosecution Service.

I aim to uphold the trust placed in me by the institution and its leadership, especially in the roles I hold. Wherever I am assigned, I must carry out my work with integrity,” said the father of two.
