Students reminded of the dangers of bullying
The Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office’s swift action to provide legal education to students is commendable.
The head of the intelligence section of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office, Mohamad Rizky, tirelessly visited various schools to provide students with legal insight and encourage them to avoid punishment.
“Prosecutors to School” Program
The Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office organized a legal information session at the SMA Negeri 2 Sabang on Thursday, January 22, 2026, as part of the “Prosecutors to School” program.
The head of the Intelligence Department, M. Rizky, accompanied his team: the head of the Intelligence Department I of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office, Aditia Bernando, S.H., and Public Prosecutor Ellyta, S.H.
On behalf of the head of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office, Elvin Arjuna Candra, the head of the Intelligence Department of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office, Mohamad Rizky, S.H., was appointed as speaker at the event at this public school, the pride of the city of Sabang.
High School Students Encouraged to Become Legally Aware
In front of hundreds of students from SMA Negeri 2 Sabang, Head of Intelligence Mohamad Rizky, who were in attendance, urged them to understand the provisions of the law, particularly those applicable in the Republic of Indonesia.
“I encourage students to be legally aware by demonstrating self-discipline, studying diligently, avoiding drugs, adhering to all applicable rules both at school and in their community, and preparing for their future,” said the alumnus of the Faculty of Law at the University of North Sumatra.
He emphasized the importance of legal knowledge for students from an early age. He reminded them that bullying, both physically and through social media (cyberbullying), has serious consequences and legal ramifications.
“Bullying is no small matter. Every act has legal consequences. Therefore, it is important that we respect each other, maintain ethical social interactions, and use social media wisely,” he said.
He also called on all school departments to work together to create a safe and pleasant learning environment, free from all forms of intimidation and violence.
He urged educational institutions in Sabang to produce high-quality, independent, and successful students.
The meeting was attended by the acting director of the Sabang City Education and Culture Office, represented by Ratnawisa, S.Pd.; the director of SMAN 2 Sabang, Suriadi, S.Pdi., MA; the intelligence team of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office; teachers; and approximately 75 students from SMAN 2 Sabang.
Education Office: Bullying Still Occurs in Schools
In their speech, representatives of the Sabang City Education and Culture Office expressed their appreciation for the contribution of the Sabang Public Prosecutor’s Office to the character development of students from an early age.
He emphasized that bullying still occurs frequently in schools and is often considered normal, although its consequences can be long-lasting and affect the victim’s psychological well-being in the long run.
Therefore, early preventive measures are needed to prevent this problem from developing further. This is in line with Regulation No. 6 of 2026 of the Minister of Education and Culture concerning the creation of a safe school environment, free from all forms of bullying, both verbal and non-verbal.
Meanwhile, the director of SMAN 2 Sabang expressed his gratitude for SMAN 2 Sabang being selected once again as the location for the “The Public Prosecutor Goes to School” program. He considered this activity a demonstration of the continued synergy between law enforcement agencies and the education sector. ***adh
